Carlos Carames Molero, one of the founding partners of Dynamis, will be a keynote speaker at the Assocation of Structural Engineers of the Philippines’s (ASEP) event, CASTED 2018: International Conference on Concrete & Steel: Technology and Engineering Design. The event will take place next month from May 24-26, at the Marriot Hotel in Pasay City, Philippines.
Engineers from countries such as Japan, Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand and the Philippines will be present at the event. Experts will present papers on several topics with relation to engineering design.
Hailed as “the first international conference on Concrete and Steel Technology, Engineering and Design (CASTED) in a developing nation, ” some of the conference topics include: Design for Wind and Earthquake Dynamic Loads, Innovative Housing Technologies, and Risk Mitigation, Rehabilitation and Retrofitting.
As a keynote speaker, Mr. Carames will be talking about, “the Importance of Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI) When Using Performance-Based Design.” A civil engineer with over 10 years of experience, Mr. Carames has worked on numerous projects all over the world. He has worked in France and the USA, and is currently based in Madrid.
