Dynamis helps to design Luminus Combined Cycle Power Plant
Sener, a private Spanish engineering technology group, contracted Dynamis to aid in the pedestal design of Luminus Combined Cycle Power Plant.
Luminus SA (Luminus) formerly known as EDF Luminus SA , a subsidiary of EDF, is an energy utility. It produces electricity and supplies energy and gas, while providing cost-effective and efficient energy products. It also develops and produces green energy, operating onshore wind farms and hydro-electric power stations.
Dynamis mission
The project involves the construction of a 1x1x1 Combined Cycle Power Station, comprised of one (1) Gas Turbine, one (1) Heat Recovery Steam Generator and one (1) Steam Turbine. The gas turbines will be fed by Natural gas and will have the possibility of being fed by 6% H2 in volume.
Dynamis is performing the Pedestal design for the gas turbine and the steam turbines. The pedestals will be supported by a pile foundation in poor soil. The vibrational analysis was performed modelling the whole soil-pile-pedestal system using state of the art SASSI software.
Dynamis has helped Sener to optimize the pedestal design.
